WHY IS ARTIFICIAL TRANS FAT IS SO BAD FOR YOU

Trans fat in food raises a person's "bad" cholesterol (LDL) and lowers "good" cholesterol (HDL), increasing the risk of heart disease. Today's consumers are increasingly looking for a healthy alternative on the menu. Taking artificial trans fat out of your kitchen is one important way to serve your family.




WHAT IS TRANS FAT?


A small amount of trans fat in our diet is naturally occurring but the largest source of trans fat is artificially made. Artificial trans fat is made when hydrogen is added to vegetable oil. These oils are called "partially hydrogenated." Any food made with partially hydrogenated oil contains trans fat.

What Ingredients Contain Trans Fat? 

Restaurants commonly cook and fry with partially hydrogenated oils. Other common restaurant ingredients that contain artificial trans fat are vegetable shortenings and margarines.
What Restaurant Foods Commonly Contain Trans Fat?
  1. Fried and pre-fried foods: French fries, fried chicken, chicken nuggets, fish fillets, tortilla chips, taco shells and donuts.
  2. Baked goods: Hamburger buns, crackers, cookies, pizza dough, cakes, pies and pastries.
  3. Premixed ingredients: Pancake mix, hot chocolate, salad dressing, croutons and breadcrumbs.
All these products are available without trans fat (made without partially hydrogenated vegetable oil).

Spot the Hidden Trans Fat in Your Kitchen
You won't know if you are serving trans fat unless you check for the words "partially hydrogenated on the ingredients list on all packaging; avoid using these products!

 Here's a sample ingredient list: 



  1. Change your oil switch to a cooking oil that is not hydrogenated and avoid shortening or hard vegetable oil.
  2. Instead of stick margarine or butter, choose soft tub spreads with saturated and no trans fat.
  3. Buy prepared foods with no trans fat! Ask your food suppliers for baked products, pre-fried and packaged foods that are made without partially hydrogenated vegetable oil.

HEALTHY CHICKEN SALAD

SPINACH SHRIMP WITH POTATO

Another easy dinner recipe from my book....


INGREDIENTS:


1.spinach-2 bowl(wash before use)
2.potato-1 medium 
3.shrimp-8/9 pcs 
4.olive oil-3 tb sp 
5.hot chilli oil-1 tb sp 
6.onion-1 
7.garlic-1/2 
8. ginger-1/2 
9.coriander-
10.green chilli-2 
11.soy sauce-2 tb sp 
12.maggi spice- 2 tb
13.salt-
14.water-(if need) 




DIRECTIONS:


1.wash spinach and chop chop ; cut potato,onion , garlic,ginger(u can use the paste if wish)


2. wash shrimp with fresh water and marinate it with soysauce and little bit of salt..


3.take a pan and put oil(olive oil + hot chilli oil) .Then fry the shrimp .take it out


4.On the same pan cook potato first..when it ll be soft give all the ingredient (except spinach)..wait for some minutes to cook


5.mix shrimp and cook again(if u wish,can add extra water)


6.finally when it ll done, mix the spinach,cook for 2 minutes..add green chili and coriander leaves for fragrance.


7.turn off the heat and its ready to serve...

HOW TO MAKE EGG (halwa)

This is the easiest yummy food ever that anyone can make......

INGREDIENTS :

1.eggs- 4
2.milk- 1/2 cup
3.ghee(butter oil)- 1/2 cup
4.cardamom- 2 pc
5.cinnamon-1(2 cm)
6.sugar-3/4 cup

additional:
 coconut- 1/3 cp(grated)
 nut-2/3grated(for decoration)

DIRECTION:

1.mix all the ingredients in a bowl

2.heat the fire , and start to cook until it's get gelatinized....add nuts or anything you like

3.finally it'll look like this ....

iPhone extra battery..

HOW TO COOK BOKCHOY WITH SALMON FISH



 HOW TO COOK BOkCHOY WITH SALLMON FISH

So yesterday i cooked the baby bok choy(lol) with salmon fish...and my cuppy. gave me 90 out of 100 for that..!!! 
He never did that before(koz i cook horrible) 

DING  I should post the recipe....:D 

  1. This is the baby bok choy we bought from Costco.very fresh and taste good


the main things we need are here..(carrots,salmon, bokchoy)

wash bokchoy and cut it like this....




Cut carrots ,onion and garlic...

next we need to cut fish,merinate with spice and fry lightly;dont overcook salmon,or it will be hard...


take a pan and put some oil,let it hot.later add garlic and onion and cook it..(sorry i dont have some piks)...

.next add the carrot and let it cooked for 5 minutes....
dont forget to add spice .i use this one (fvt)...
